Myer Clarity - Marooned

“Marooned” is a light hearted rap twist built on top of Maroon 5’s “This Love”.  As the first solo release of Myer Clarity from 2022, “Marooned” follows up Skevious Tips and Myer Clarity’s two track release “This Party Hits More Like A Funeral”.

Myer Clarity wastes no time in the two minute plus rap flip of this pop hit to flex his lyrical prowess. During the second verse of the song the pace in his flow is sped up. With the increase in speed, Myer Clarify uses this extra time to describe a toxic one sided love.

Inspired by ‘Thru The Wire’ by Kanye West, Myer described ‘Marooned’ as “a break up song with the algorithm”. Social media has designed this environment where it can feel creating has to be done with content to be released as the only outcome. The creation process in itself can be toxic. Creating for the ego to overthink, delaying and decaying the art. Therefore it can be difficult to create genuine art at times, despite this Myer Clarity never misses.

As a multifaceted artist who can cut through the noise of modern day fast food music designed to not be reheated or repeated, Myer Clarity’s discography grows. “Marooned” is no exception and is another gem in the growing collection of music curated under the creative vision of Myer Clarity.
