Versatile Ohio artist Tizy Mak returns after his year long hiatus with the incredible “Brand New”. The title “Brand New” being a double entendre referencing both Tizy Mak’s extended absence from music as well as how rejuvenating and youthful his partner’s love makes him feel.
A soulful pop ballad, “Brand New” entices the listener immediately with Tizy Mak’s powerful vocal performance. A range of emotion is felt throughout his delivery of ethereal falsettos. The song’s instrumental contains a calm guitar melody hushed down into the background to ensure Tizy Mak’s vocals stay the centerpiece.
Lyrically “Brand New” is an emotionally charged love song where Tizy Mak professes his dedication and attachment to his partner. Tizy Mak also describes his apathy for life when apart from his lover, while using the track to enshrine both his loyalty and attachment to them as well.
“Brand New” is the first single of a multi-genre bending album titled “Murder Season”. The album itself ranging from melodic pop to hype trap to emotional R&B to even hip-hop songs with country influence. Tizy Mak will be releasing multiple career defining singles leading up to the release of “Murder Season”, and while “Brand New” is just the beginning; it is a home run off the first strike.
Tizy Mak is also completely independent this time breaking away from previous team affiliations and creating everything in-house now.
